The United States Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control has sanctioned a Philippine digital infrastructure firm for allegedly helping move illicit funds via virtual currency, as reported by Reuters. The Philippine-based firm led by Chinese national Liu Lizhil is accused of enabling illegal fund transfers using crypto. The scams reportedly involve bogus websites to swindle victims.
